Gauntlets is a speculative concept fashion brand that imagines what it could look like if the fashion industry did the same thing for prosthetics as it did for glasses—to be fashionable, functional, and affordable.

While glasses and prosthetics are both categorized as medical devices by the FDA, there are many unique challenges the prosthetic industry would have to overcome before they could be marketed and mass-produced (if at all) like glasses are.
The purpose of this project is rather to challenge the viewer to consider how they perceive such medical devices.
